Dave Jakubek serves as Football Nutrition Fellow for the University of South Florida Athletics. Jakubek supports the football program’s nutrition and fueling initiatives, assisting with practice and game-day nutrition, hydration strategies and student-athlete performance needs. He also provides nutrition education, individual consultations and body composition and hydration assessments to help optimize student-athlete health and performance.
Prior to joining USF, Jakubek completed a sports nutrition fellowship at the University of Notre Dame, where he gained experience supporting the nutritional needs of collegiate student-athletes and assisting with performance nutrition programming.
Jakubek earned a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science and a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
He is originally from Wauconda, Illinois.
