Dustin Chason was named director of operations on Brian Hartline’s first South Florida staff in December of 2025.

Chason previously spent six seasons with the Texas A&M football team (2018-23) as the assistant director of football operations.

Prior to that, he spent five seasons at Florida State. Chason began his tenure at FSU in 2013 as an administrative assistant, supporting pre-game special events with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project. 

In 2015, Chason was elevated to football operations assistant and helped manage the day-to-day operations of the program and assisted with the annual Jimbo Fisher Football Camp.

Chason graduated from Florida State with a bachelor’s of science in finance and sport management as well as a master’s of science in sport management.
