USF Athletics

Gail Cotton joined USF Athletics in August 2019 as an Administrative Clerk.  In 2021, she was promoted to Assistant Director of Human Resources.  In 2022, she became Director of Human Resources.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Temple University (1987) and a master’s degree in Education and Human Relations with an emphasis in Community Counseling from Villanova University (1991).  She has vast knowledge and experience in mental health and addictions counseling, working with diverse populations and brings that skill set to the Athletic department.

A native of Philadelphia, she grew up an avid Philly sports fan.  She moved here in 1992.  Gail, and her husband, Eric, reside in Tampa with their daughter, Danielle, and rescue Australian Shepherd mix, Tanya.  She has her own “War on I4” at her home as her husband is an UCF graduate and her daughter is USF graduate while Gail proudly represents USF Athletics.
