Iain Clarke serves as the Associate Director of Development for Major Gifts in the Athletics Development department at USF, a position he assumed in November 2025. In this role, he identifies potential major donors through research and collaboration with other development officers, cultivates prospects for major, corporate, leadership, foundation, or planned gifts, and maintains extensive contact with donors, corporate officials, foundation officers, and financial advisors to generate gift proposals. Clarke also develops a major gift pipeline from annual giving supporters and provides oversight and strategic direction for the operations of Athletics Annual Giving, keeping Bulls Club staff updated on prospects.
Clarke brings extensive experience in athletics fundraising and donor relations. He previously served as Assistant Director of the Aztec Club at San Diego State University Athletics, where he raised over $550,000 in unrestricted support, managed a diverse portfolio of donors, executed VIP events, and partnered on naming opportunities and scholarship funds. He then served as Assistant Director of Development for UC San Diego Athletics, raising over $500,000 in philanthropic support, creating exclusive donor events, collaborating with coaches and student-athletes to strengthen donor engagement, and overseeing stewardship initiatives aligned with UC San Diego’s transition to Division I and Big West competition.
He earned his Master’s in Sports Management from Northern Illinois University in 2021 and his Bachelor of Communications in Public Relations and Africana Studies from Eastern Washington University in 2020. The youngest of four siblings, Clarke enjoys staying active in his free time, particularly through beach volleyball and pickleball.
