USF Athletics

Joey Mitchell serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities at USF, a position he has held since May 2017. In this role, he oversees the management of seven competition venues, four practice facilities, three administration buildings, and the grounds within the Athletics Village. He is responsible for facility maintenance, major and minor projects, housekeeping, and long-term facility planning, supervising a team of 21 full-time staff across Facilities, Grounds, and Housekeeping.

Mitchell brings extensive experience in athletics facilities management, having previously worked at the University of Central Florida from 2015 to 2017, the College of Saint Rose from 2014 to 2015, and Saginaw Valley State University from 2013 to 2014. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Saginaw Valley State University in 2014. Mitchell is married to Dana and is a father to Cameron. He is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
