Kacie Welch joined the University of South Florida as the Assistant Clinical Manager in January of 2024. While serving in this role, Kacie is responsible for clinic management and oversight of daily operations including scheduling, check-in and rooming/vitals for primary care sports medicine, orthopedic, and chiropractic specialties for student-athletes and athletics staff. Additionally, she helps process insurance billing for the athletic training services provided by the USF Athletic Training staff.Â
Before transitioning to her current role, Kacie worked as a high school athletic trainer in both Florida and Georgia. While being the athletic trainer at those high schools, she doubled as a teacher. Kacie has taught Anatomy and Physiology, Weight Training, and was the Director of the Sports Medicine Academy. Â
Kacie graduated from the University of North Georgia with her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training in 2016. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2018 with her Masters in Advanced Athletic Training. She is a BOC Certified and Licensed Florida Athletic Trainer (ATC/LAT) and holds additional certifications in CPR/AED and IV. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
