    Defensive Analyst - Linebackers
Lorenzo Wilkins joined the South Florida football staff in January of 2026 as a defensive analyst (Linebackers) on Brian Hartline’s first Bulls staff.

Wilkins comes to USF after serving a season as assistant linebackers coach at Army (2025), helping the Black Knights to a Fenway Bowl victory. Two linebacker earned all-conference recognition (second team and honorable mention) and Army led The American in yards per game allowed while finishing second in scoring defense.
 
Wilkins was part of the Cortland football program for three years (2022-24), working as a student manager. He served as Head Student Assistant in his final season. Lorenzo’s responsibilities included assisting the linebackers and special teams to developing call sheets and practice plans. Cortland went 34-4 during his time on staff and won the 2023 Division III National Championship.

He also worked as defensive coordinator at Roosevelt High School (Hyde Park, N.Y) and worked as the sports editor of the Dragon Chronicle.

Wilkins graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Science in sport management and a minor in economics in May 2025.
