Maddie Jones enters her first season as Assistant Coach of the SunDolls, returning to the program after four years as a member of the team. As a former SunDoll, Maddie brings firsthand experience, an understanding of the program’s traditions, and a passion for helping the next generation of dancers grow both on and off the floor.
During her four years on the team, Maddie performed at South Florida football games at Raymond James Stadium and basketball games at the Yuengling Center, and competed at NDA College Nationals in Daytona Beach. Over the course of her collegiate career, the team earned multiple top-three finishes at nationals. She also traveled with the Bulls to Honolulu for the Hawaii Bowl, one of the most memorable postseason trips in program history. Maddie served as team captain for two consecutive seasons, gaining valuable leadership experience and developing a deeper appreciation for the teamwork, dedication, and traditions that define the SunDolls program.
Originally from Blaine, Minnesota, Maddie began dancing at a young age, training and competing at the studio level while also performing on her high school dance team. Her years of training and competition helped develop her technique, versatility, and passion for dance, laying the foundation for her collegiate career at USF.
Maddie graduated from USF in 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the university. In addition to her coaching and academic responsibilities, she is a staff member for the National Dance Alliance (NDA), where she helps high school and collegiate dance teams prepare for their upcoming seasons.
As she begins this new chapter, Maddie looks forward to giving back to the program that played such an important role in her collegiate experience and to supporting the continued growth and success of the SunDolls.
