
USF Softball Announces Inaugural Hall of Fame Class Inductees

The five inaugural players will have plaques that will hang in a designated area of the new locker room in the new athletic facility.
2003 INDUCTEES FOR THE SOFTBALL PLAYERS HALL OF FAME
1. LESLIE KANTER (USF '86)-First Fastpitch All-American at USF, 1986; A four year starter; Won two National Slow Pitch Championships with USF; a career .294 hitter; batted .333 in her senior year; a career .942 fielding percentage as a shortstop.
2. LISA WUNAR (USF '89)-Second All-American at USF, 1987; the consummate third base player; a career fielding percentage of .956; a career batting average of .299; Was an NCAA All-Region Player in 1987 and 1988; USF' s leading hitter in 1988 (.322); finished her career No. 1 in seven statistical categories.
3. MONICA TRINER (USF '99)-Two time All-American (1998 and 1999); named to 3 NCAA All-Region Teams; named to 2 NCAA Regional All-Tournament Teams; 3 NCAA Tournament appearances; won 2 Triple Crowns at USF (1997, 1998); finished her career No.1 in 17 offensive categories and No.1 in 5 pitching categories.
4. AMY PUTNAM (USF '96)-leader on the 1st NCAA Regional Team (1996); Academic All-American (1996); NCAA All-Region Team (1996); played in 172 consecutive games; career .319 batting average; batted .401 in 1996; finished her career No. 1 in nine statistical categories;
5. JENNIFER THOMPSON (USF'99)-The first USF player to be named to four consecutive NCAA All-Region Teams (1996-99); 3 NCAA Tournament Appearances; Academic All-American (1999); finished her career either No. 1 or 2 in six pitching categories; a career 0.77 ERA;
