
Three 3-Set Wins Lead Men To 5-2 Win Over Wisconsin

(March 17, 2006) Tampa, Fla. ? Fredy Barton, Marc Jaeger and Mark Gattiker each claimed a three-set win in singles for USF today to lead the Bulls to a 5-2 win over Wisconsin. Barton, playing at number two, had to overcome a 6-0 loss in the first set and Gattiker also lost his first set at number six.
Wisconsin (8-5) jumped to a 2-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches for one point, and Felipe Bellido made quick work of USF's (3-6) Dillon Brozyna 6-0, 6-1.
But that was the only singles match Wisconsin would claim in the end. USF's Juan Barragan started the USF roll with a win at number four singles, and Dirk Britzen claimed a win at number one to tie the match at 2-2. Gattiker's win gave the Bulls a 3-2 lead before Jaeger clinched the match with his three-set win.
USF travels to the Rice Invitational March 24-26.
