BOCA RATON, Fla. (April 14, 2007) ? The No. 38 University of South Florida women's tennis team earned its 12th win of the season with a 7-0 shutout of Florida Atlantic, Saturday afternoon.

The Bulls (12-6) blanked an opponent for the seventh time this year and improve their road record to 3-4.

USF captured every court, both in singles and in doubles.

Junior Courtney Vernon remained undefeated from the No. 1 spot as she claimed her 10th victory of the year over the Owls' Claudia Keckt 6-0, 6-2.

The rest of the Bulls took their respective matches in straight sets as well.  Shadisha Robinson won 6-1, 6-2 on court two, Liz Cruz blanked Katherine Bartnik 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3, Jessica Sweeting earned her first victory playing from the fourth position, and Gabriela Duch and Iciri Rai claimed the fifth and sixth spots handedly.

FAU managed only three points in doubles play, as Vernon partnered with Robinson for an 8-2 showing at No. 1 and Duch and Sweeting handled things on court two, 8-1.  Rai and Cruz shut down Elodie Wendling and Danielle Simone 8-0 at No. 3.

The Bulls will conclude the regular season with an away match against No. 32 FIU tomorrow afternoon in Miami.  USF will host the BIG EAST Championships Thurs., April 19 ? Sun., April 22 on campus.
