Updated at 6:53 p.m. -- The Bulls afternoon practice ended early due to rain. The Bulls will be back in meetings tonight and then play it by ear tomorrow with heavy rain and winds in the forecast.
We were able to catch defensive line coach John Hendrick for an interview with GoUSFBulls.com reporter Garrett Woolvard. Woolvard was also able to catch up with Tyson Butler, Danny Verpael and Marc Dile.

Updated at 9:30 a.m. -- Great news out of camp this morning as defensive line coach John Hendrick has returned to the team.
Hendrick suffered a heart attack on July 1 and was anxiously awaiting clearance by his doctors. That day came Saturday and Hendrick rejoined the coaching staff in meetings on Sunday.
Monday morning he was back on the field working side-by-side with defensive ends coach Kevin Patrick. The Pittsburgh alum and ordained pastor has dropped 15-plus pounds during his time away from football.
? Geoge Selvie was named to the Walter Camp Award Watch List on Monday. Selive was a Camp All-American last season after producing record sack and tackles for loss numbers.
? The coaching staff was excited about the practice plan for Monday morning and afternoon because it involved a lot of hitting. With the threat of Tropical Storm Fay hitting the area on Tuesday and Wednesday, Coach Leavitt will probably push his team hard today, which is the fifth two-a-day of camp.

Now the South Florida head coach, Leavitt was co-defensive coordinator at Kansas State with Stoops. Stoops began wearing a visor at KSU.
"Feels better than a hat,” Stoops said. Stoops remembered that Leavitt wore a visor at KSU. Leavitt joked that he wore a visor at K-State “because we couldn't afford the rest of the hat.”
Leavitt got to K-State 19 years ago but says he's been wearing a visor for 30 years. So if Leavitt wore a visor when he arrived at KSU, and Stoops began wearing a visor at KSU, stands to reason that Leavitt was his mentor. Which Leavitt considers a good trade. “I've learned a great deal from Bob in the time I worked with him,” Leavitt said. “Bob's a hell of a coach. He's a great coach."
? Short article, but high praise for George Selvie who is listed as the top NFL prospect in the BIG EAST by The Sporting News.
? The Bleacher Report writes, "The key, however, to the Bulls offense in 2008 will be at the RB position where either Benjamin Williams or Mike Ford must step up to take the pressure and pounding on Grothe. This will enable Grothe to be more effective and to throw to the quartet of big athletic receivers who are returning in 2008."
