Team Notes
- Head coach Stan Heath is in his 23rd season of coaching, ninth as a head coach and third at USF. He has posted a 136-119 overall record and is 24-42 at USF. Heath has made three NCAA appearances (2002-Kent State, 2006 and 2007- Arkansas) in his eight-year career.

- Against UNCW, USF scored 74 points, a season high.  The previous high in USF's first three games was 67 at SMU in the first game of the season.

- USF's point total was also the most since the Bulls scored 80 in a win at DePaul Jan. 10, 2009, a span of 20 games. USF scored more than 74 points last seaon on three occassions.

- USF finished 2-1 at the Charleston Classic and finished in third place with the consolation game win over the Seahawks Sunday.

- USF moved to 3-2 all-time against UNC-Wilmington and won the second straight meeting between the two teams. USF won that last meeting, 57-38, Jan. 2, 1995 at home.

- USF shot .519 from the floor, the second time this season over the .500 mark. USF has now equaled the number of games from 2008-09 in which the team shot better than .500.

- The starting lineup for the Bulls was as followed: Augustus Gilchrist and Jarrid Famous at forward, and Chris Howard, Justin Leemow and Dominique Jones at guard. It marked the first time this season USF used a different starting lineup from the fivesome of Gilchrist, Famous, Howard, Jones and Mike Mercer.

- USF went with only seven players in the game, with each player playing at least 21 minutes.

- At 4-1, USF secured its best start to a season since 2006-07, when the Bulls began the year 7-1.

 
Individual Notes
- Against UNC-W sophomore guard Justin Leemow is made his ninth career start and the first of this season. His last starts were in five of the last six games of the 2008-09 season.

- Sophomore forward Augustus Gilchrist didn't score in the first half, but ended with 14, after shooting 5-of-10 from the field and 4-of-6 at the line.

-Gilchrist has scored in double-digits in all five games this season, including a career-high 23 in the season opener at Southern Methodist.

- Jones came up two points short of his eighth-career 30-point game with 28 points. He did, however, set a new career high with six steals, surpassing his previous best of four accomplished on six previous occasions.

- Jones has now gone 24 straight games scoring in double digits. The last time he failed to pass the 10-point mark was on Dec. 22, 2008 against Oral Roberts in the San Juan shootout.

- With nine free throws made in the game, Jones moves into 10th in USF's record book for career free throws made. Jones started the game with 253 and surpassed Gary Alexander and Donzel Rush, who each had 258. With 262 career free throws, Jones is just six away from tying Hakim Shahid for ninth all-time.

- Jones also moves into ninth in field goals attempted, surpassing Penny Greene's 905 and Arthur Jones' 912. Jones, who now has 917 career field goal attempts, was 9-of-17 from the floor against the Seahawks.

- With three assists in the game, senior guard Chris Howard continues to chase the record for career assists. He finished the game with 373 career helpers, and trails No. 6 Cedric Smith's 384.
