USF Women Announce Local Television Dates

TAMPA - The University of South Florida athletics department has finalized its women's basketball television schedule that will appear on Bright House Sports Network (BHSN) during the 2009-10 season.

BHSN, the official cable partner of USF athletics, will locally produce six games and broadcast seven during the season. The package, which began on Nov. 16 with a women's and men's doubleheader against Saint Peter's and Virginia respectively, will continue on Jan. 16 with the Bulls' BIG EAST match-up against Syracuse in the Sun Dome.

Bright House Sports Network will also carry games against Pittsburgh (Jan. 20), Villanova (Feb. 2) and West Virginia (Feb. 20).

The station will end the six-game local package with USF's regular season finale against DePaul (Mar. 1).

In addition to the six games, BHSN will also carry the BIG EAST Conference Game of the Week. The Bulls will be highlighted on the game of the week on Feb. 6 when Rutgers visits the Sun Dome.

In all, USF will appear on television nine times this year including local and regionally produced games, the BIG EAST Conference Game of the Week and a nationally televised game on CBS College Sports (CBSCS). The Bulls will make one appearance on CBSCS at Marquette on Feb. 9.

USF will also take on No. 1/1 Connecticut on Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. on Connecticut Public Television

The Bulls, in a week-long break for final exams, will get back to work on Dec. 13 at 4:30 p.m. against in-state foe Jacksonville.
