TAMPA-Rising sophomore Gina Pacheco of the University of South Florida women's soccer team earned her first international cap for Canada in Sunday's match against the United States in Rochecter, N.Y.
The Ottawa, Ontario native entered the game in the 81st minute, replacing Kara Lang in hopes of bringing a spark to the Canadian offensive attack. Pacheco played the final 11 minutes but did not record a shot.
Fellow Bull Redshirt freshman Bahar Sansar dressed for Canada but did not see any action.
The third match of the three game series between the US and Canada will take place July 22 at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, S.C.
