Recapping Carlton Mitchell's Performance at the NFL Combine

Carlton MitchellThe USF Stampede on the NFL Draft

TAMPA --
Former USF wide receiver and NFL early-entry Carlton Mitchell had his chance to shine at the NFL Combine on Sunday and he posted marks that should continue his climb up the NFL Draft boards.

Prior to his workout Sunday, The Sporting News wrote that Mitchell, "showed excellent size to complement his impressive work on film. He has the chance to rise up boards as high as the second round."

Mitchell ran the 10th-best 40-yard dash time at 4.49.

Only seven wide receivers posted more reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, where Mitchell banged out 16. He also tied for sixth with a broad jump of 10'2".
