Leibel Leads Bulls Into Final Round At Spring Break Invite

TAMPA- The University of South Florida men's golf team wrapped up the second round of the FAU Spring Break Invitational on Sunday, by finishing the day in a tie for 13th place.
“The team played a solid first nine holes, turning at 2-over par," said men's golf coach Jim Fee. "We lost some shots coming in. Tomorrow, we have to do a better job of finishing the round."
The Bulls sit in 13th place after 36 holes of play in Boca Raton, Fla. after shooting a combined 296 in Saturday's second round. The Bulls, whoshot a 298 in the opening round on Friday, currently find themselves just nine strokes behind a tie for eighth place.
Junior Robby Carl responded from an opening round 78, by shooting a second round 73 to lead the team on day two. Carl sits in a tie for 58th place individually at 9-over for the tournament.
Senior Luke Leibel leads the Bulls heading into the final round as Leibel fired a 74 in Saturday's second round after shooting an even-par 72 on Friday.
Raj Nahal also shot a second round 74, after carted an opening round 73 to put himself in a tie for 32nd individually.
The Bulls and the rest of the 16-team field at the Spring Break Invitational will conclude the tournament on Sunday beginning at 7:30 a.m.
