Spring Game Central
TAMPA -- It is that time of year again: spring football is in action and we are building the excitement for the upcoming 2010 USF Football season! Come join us as we usher in "A Holtz New Era" for USF Football with our annual Green and White Game next Saturday, April 17th at Raymond James Stadium with gates opening at 5pm and kick-off set for 6pm.
USF students have several opportunities to get involved with various activities at this year's game. One way to get involved is by attending the pre-game student tailgate sponsored by Domino's. USF Athletics and participating sponsors will have a tailgate area set-up on the south side of Raymond James Stadium in Lot 6 (Bulls Zone area on game days). All USF students are invited to take part in the free Domino's pizza and drinks from 4pm-6pm before heading into the stadium for the game.
Design the 'Beat the Gators' T-Shirt & Win Free Tickets for Sept. 11
Beginning Thursday, April 8th USF students will be given the chance to design the 2010 Student 'Beat Florida' T-shirt for the highly anticipated game on September 11, 2010. The final day to submit a design will be Friday, April 16th at Noon.
All designs must be submitted to USF Athletics Marketing via email, as an attachment, to Athmkt01@admin.usf.edu.
The contest winner will have his or her design on the student game day t-shirt. The winning student will also receive a copy of his or her design autographed by Coach Skip Holtz and two tickets to the USF vs. UF game at the Swamp. The first and second runners-up will receive a USF Athletics gift pack.
Design submissions may not exceed five colors, must be square and no smaller than 1' x 1' and no larger than 2' x 2'. The files must be in JPEG, EPS or PDF format and cannot exceed 5 MB in size.
For additional information on this contest, please contact USF Athletics Marketing by calling 813-974-3517 or e-mailing Athmkt01@admin.usf.edu.
Student Field Day Challenge
Another student-only event, the Field Day Challenge, will take place during the Green and White Game. The Field Day Challenge events include a 4-Legged Race, Wheel Barrel Race, and Egg Toss. The three events will take place during select timeouts throughout the game.
Students will sign-up in teams of 4 and may be representatives of Student Organizations or just a group of friends. All team members must participate in at least one of the activities, as this is a team event. Teams will register in advance by emailing athmkt01@admin.usf.edu with their team name and list of 4 members by Thursday, April 15th at 5pm. Once teams are registered, they will be sent a confirmation email with details on the events and timing.
The members of the winning Field Day Competition team will each receive a ticket to the USF vs. Miami Football game in Coral Gables on November 27, 2010, as well as a USF Athletics gift pack.
Spring Game Student Tickets
The process for getting tickets for the Spring Football Game is similar to the student ticketing process during the regular season. The only difference is that students do not have to request a ticket.
Getting your ticket is as easy as 1, 2, 3:
After following these steps and securing your student ticket, make sure you bring your ticket and valid USF ID to the game Saturday, April 17th at 6pm. The USF Ticket Office will be scanning tickets like a regular game so students can earn loyalty points towards their Campus Lodge USF Student Rewards Program. This event is worth 75 loyalty points which will factor into the rewards program and the student ticket lottery system which will ultimately determine who receives the opportunity to purchase a student ticket to the USF vs. UF game in Gainesville on September 11th, 2010.
UF will only distribute a select number of student tickets to USF Athletics for this highly anticipated game. Only the top loyalty point leaders will receive the opportunity to purchase these valuable student tickets, so make sure you attend as many USF Athletics events as possible between now and September to secure your place at the top.
