Photo Name: Cross Country High Grass
Nothing personifies how the USF athletics program started from scratch in the 1960's quite like this photo of the 1966 cross country team jogging through the high grass and over a small pile of dirt that had accumulated on the side of the road. The early USF days saw things like that, with the cross country team running wherever they could and the men's soccer team playing on a field that had no bleachers, where people had to sit on the grass or remember to bring a chair.
