TAMPA - Dom Dwyer has achieved his greatest honor to date at USF.
The forward became an All-American Friday when the NCAA named the junior to the second team. He made another second team Monday when College Soccer News named him an All-American.
Dwyer had already been named Big East Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference wtih 16 goals this season.
"Dom was very lethal around the box," USF head coach George Kiefer said. "I think a lot of teams started to deal with him with two, three guys."
Dwyer, in his first season at USF, also led the Big East in points (34) a season after scoring 37 goals at Tyler Junior College and being named NJCAA National Player of the Year. The London, England native earned All-Northeast Region honors on Friday.
All 35 NCAA All-America selections will be recognized at a banquet in Kansas City on Jan. 14.
