The Records: USF comes into Tuesday's game with a 10-13 record (1-8 BIG EAST). Georgetown is 19-5 on the year and is 7-3 in the BIG EAST.
Rankings: USF is not ranked in the Associated Press or the ESPN/USA Today Top 25 polls. Georgetown is No. 17 in AP and No. 15 in the ESPN/USA Today Top 25.
The Series: Tuesday's game is the eighth meeting all-time between USF and Georgetown, with the Hoyas holding a slight 4-3 series lead.
Last Time Out: USF is coming off a hard fought 76-68 loss to Notre Dame on Feb. 5. Georgetown defeated Cincinnati, 55-38 on Feb. 5.
A Look Ahead: USF will travel to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers on Feb. 12 while Georgetown butts heads with St. John's on Feb. 13.

The University of South Florida women's basketball team hits the road this week as it travels to the Nation's Capital to face No. 17/15 Georgetown on Tuesday, Feb. 8 ... Tip-off is schedule for 9 p.m. at McDonough Arena ... Tuesday's game - and all games this season - can be heard on 1010 AM CBS Sports Radio with Ronan O'Shea calling the action and former USF men's basketball standout Andrikk Frazier handling the color commentary ... Tuesday's contest will also be televised nationally on CBS College Sports with Brent Stover handling the play-by-play and Tammy Blackburn providing color analysis ... Tuesday's game with the Hoyas is the first of two straight road games for the Bulls, and the second of three games to be played in a four game stretch away from the Sun Dome ... The four-game span began on Jan. 29 at Syracuse and will conclude next Saturday, Feb. 12 at Pittsburgh ... The lone contest at home, in the four outings, came this past Saturday vs. No. 8/8 Notre Dame, a 76-68 loss for USF ... Andrea Smith led the way for the Bulls in the loss to the Fighting Irish with 20 points - her third straight 20-point outing ... Twin sister Andrell Smith added 15 points while Akila McDonald chipped in the a career-high 14 points ... Andrell Smith and Porche Grant shared rebounding honors with five boards apiece ... USF has forced its opponents into 24 or more turnovers in eight of its 23 games this season, and double-digit miscues in 22-of-23 outings ... On the year, the Bulls are being led by Andrea Smith - who is the team's only double-digit scorer - averaging 17.2 points per game - and is third in the BIG EAST ... Andrell Smith and Grant are second and third in scoring, averaging 7.8 and 7.5 points per game, respectively ... Grant also continues to lead the team in rebounding grabbing 9.4 rebounds per game and McDonald has the edge leading the Bulls in blocked shots on the year with 29 (1.3 bpg).
The Series vs. Georgetown
USF and Georgetown meet for the eighth time since the first-ever contest on Dec. 21, 1984 ... Georgetown leads all-time series 4-3 ... The series is also close in meetings at McDonough Arena with the Hoyas holding a slight 2-1 edge.
Since joining the BIG EAST, the Bulls have defeated the Hoyas by an average of 21 points per game in their last two wins, however Georgetown has defeated USF in its last four meetings by an average margin of victory of 11.5 points. Tuesday's game is the first of two games this season between USF and Georgetown ... The Hoyas are the Bulls' lone mirror opponent this year ... The Bulls and Georgetown will meet again on Feb. 28 (7 p.m., BHSN) in the last regular season game of the 2010-11 campaign.
Scouting The Hoyas
Georgetown comes into Tuesday's game with a 19-5 record and a 7-3 slate in BIG EAST play ... The Hoyas are coming off a 55-38 win on Saturday over Cincinnati ... The victory was Georgetown's fifth straight and it's 12th victory in its last 14 games.
Sugar Rodgers is one of two players on the Hoyas' roster who is scoring in double figures, leading the team at an 18.2 points per game clip ... Monica McNutt is second on the team netting 11.4 points per outing.
Tia Magee leads the Hoyas on the glass grabbing 5.0 rebounds per contest, only slightly ahead of Rodgers and McNutt who are pulling down 4.8 and 4.6 rebounds per game, respectively.
Last Year vs. Georgetown
USF and Georgetown met twice last year with the Hoyas sweeping the season series 2-0.
In the first meeting between the two schools, the Bulls dropped their second game, of what would be three consecutive games to open the BIG EAST schedule, with a 66-52 setback to Georgetown on Jan. 9, 2010 in the Sun Dome.
Leondra Doomes-Stephens led three players in double figures for USF with a career-high 11 points and career best four steals ... Jessica Lawson recorded her seventh double-double of the year with 10 points and 10 rebounds while Kaneisha Saunders chipped in with 10 points in the loss.
USF shot 37.0 percent (17-46) from the field and a dismal 18.8 percent (3-16) from three-point range ... In addition, the Bulls turned the ball over 31 times - the most since recording 29 miscues against Florida State on Dec. 14, 2003 - which led to 31 Georgetown points.
In the final meeting of the season between the Bulls and Hoyas, USF dropped a hard fought 54-50 decision to No. 14/12 Georgetown on Feb. 17 in the Nations
Capital ... Allyson Speed scored a career-high 20 points while Jessica Lawson added 19 points and 11 rebounds for her BIG EAST leading 15th double-double of the season ... Leondra Doomes-Stephens added 10 points in the loss.
Last Time Out
The Bulls are coming off their second straight loss in a 76-68 setback to No. 8/8 Notre Dame on Saturday evening ... The game, however, may have been one of the best that USF has played all season.
Notre Dame came into the game outscoring its opposition by an average of 24.2 points per game, and had only allowed its opponents to score 60 or more points just once (60 points by Louisville) in its previous six wins coming into the game with the Bulls ... The Fighting Irish's last game giving up better than 60 points was in their 79-76 loss Connecticut on Jan. 8.
