September 10, 2011 | Men's Soccer
By TOM ZEBOLD USF Senior Writer TAMPA - A bit of misfortune turned the Bulls' fast start into a game to quickly forget. A miscommunication on defense led to an Bradley goal in overtime that dealt the No. 8 USF men's soccer team its first loss of the season by a 2-1 score Friday in Hanover, N.H. “I just feel a little bit unlucky and we just have to get ready for the next one,” USF head coach George Kiefer said. Ashani Fairclough got the Bulls on the board first 16:57 into the first half thanks to a solid corner kick by Ben Sweat. “We got a good service in by Ben and Ashani did a good job heading it home,” Kiefer said. USF (3-0-1) has a chance to bounce back quickly in the Dartmouth Tournament when it faces the host team Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The Bulls return home for the USF Tournament next weekend when they face St. Louis on Friday, Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Another test in the tournament comes Sunday, Sept. 17 against UC Irvine at noon.
