No. 45 USF posted two doubles wins but didn't get enough production out of singles in a 5-2 loss to UNLV in the consolation match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend on Sunday.
Wael Kilani and Federico Sabogal gave the USF men's tennis team an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles. Oliver Pramming and Yannick Yoshizawa followed with an 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles to secure the doubles point for USF in the second day of the event at USC in Los Angeles. Pramming and Yoshizawa are ranked 60th in doubles by the ITA.
Yoshizawa also earned the lone singles win for the Bulls in the No. 4 spot when he defeated Johannes Markel, 6-0, 6-0.
USF started off its run in the qualifying stage of the ITA Men's Indoor Team Championships with a 4-2 loss to No. 43 UNC-Wilmington on Saturday. Pramming and Yoshizawa also won their doubles test in that match as well.
The Bulls continue their spring season Saturday, Feb. 4 at Florida State. Their next home match is set for Friday, Feb. 24 against North Florida at 2 p.m. in Tampa.
