The USF men's tennis team did not lose a single set to Winthrop University Sunday afternoon at the USF Varsity Courts.
The Bulls beat the Eagles 4-0 in almost three hours of play.
USF was able to sweep Winthrop in doubles play to get the first point, with partners Wael Kilani and Federico Sabogal keeping their opponents scoreless, winning 8-0.
"Again, glad to see we won the doubles point, that's always real big," said head coach Don Barr.
Wael Kilani beat his opponent in just two sets in the No. 1 position, winning 6-2, 6-0.
Yannick Yoshizawa also won in two sets, 6-1, 6-1.
Ravi Patel got the deciding point for the Bulls, winning 6-3, 6-0.
After that particular match was decided, play was canceled due to Winthrop wanting to get on the road back home to Rock Hill, South Carolina.
The other singles players for USF had all won their first sets against Winthrop and were finishing their second sets when play had ended.
"After a long week of tennis they really played hard and closed out our matches really good. That was good to see, I'm real proud of the guys," Barr said.
The Bulls will head to New York on Saturday to face St. John's for their second conference game of the season.
