By TOM ZEBOLD USF Senior Writer Sharla Passariello's scoring surge continued Friday night and it helped the USF women's soccer team gain confidence on the road. The junior forward scored twice and freshman Ana Paola Lopez Yrigoyen added another goal in the Bulls' 3-0 victory at Indiana. Passariello now has three goals in three regular season games after scoring three times in the preseason. “She's a dangerous player. Consistency we've always thought was really important with Sharla and we're really excited that we're getting that this season,” head coach Denise Schilte-Brown said. “She's working hard. She came in fit and has taken the opportunity to do well.” Passariello started off the scoring in the 31st minute and struck again in the 60th minute. Lopez Yrigoyen capped things off with a goal in the 75th minute to help USF improve to 2-1 this season. Assists came from Demi Stokes and Bianca Norman. “The girls felt really fresh. They're really fit this season and really focused,” Schilte-Brown said. “We had fresh legs, really started the game on the right tone and built the game up from there.” USF outshot Indiana, 13-8, and got a stellar performance from its defense. Keeper Christiane Endler recorded her second straight shutout after posting three saves. “Christiane is only a freshman, but she's got a lot of poise. She's very calm and every cross and shot she's securely there. It's a safe feeling, which is what you want back there,” Schilte-Brown said. The Bulls continue their five-game road trip with a pair of contests at the UCF Tournament in Orlando. USF faces Georgia on Friday, Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. and gets Dartmouth on Sunday, Sept. 2 at noon.
