By KY-SHON HEPBURN Special to GoUSFBulls.com TAMPA – The Bulls offense was unable to capitalize playing to a scoreless tie on Sunday. The Bulls outshot Pittsburg 8-0 in the first half, but both teams were scoreless at halftime. The offense created numerous opportunities outshooting Pittsburg 21-1 for the game but was unable to put points on the scoreboard. “It's disappointing to tie especially going into overtime,” Sharla Passariello said. “It's good that we are creating chances, but at the same time we want to start finishing.” Passariello led the way with seven shots, but none of the shots found the back of the net. “I like to score and I was just trying to get a goal,” Passariello said. The Bulls defense was phenomenal holding the Panthers to just one shot in 110 minutes. USF did not allow the Panthers to get off a shot until a header by Lauren Yobbi in double overtime. “It was just focus,” said Schilte-Brown. “When they focus for 90 minutes they are a very good team and I saw a lot of focus for the entire game.” USF will head on the road to face Big East opponent Rutgers Friday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. in Piscataway, New Jersey. “Hopefully we're fired up and hungry for Friday's game,” said Schilte-Brown.
