TAMPA, MAY 15, 2014 – One of the top goalkeepers in USF women's soccer history will be making saves in the highest professional league in Germany.

Mallori Lofton-Malachi, who played for the Bulls from 2006-09, now plays for SC Sand in the 2nd Bundesliga and the team has been promoted to the first Allianz Bundesliga for next season. The first Allianz Bundesliga is considered by many to be the top professional women's soccer league in the world.

Lofton-Malachi has played for SC Sand since March 2013 and the team hasn't lost a league game in two years.

“This experience has taught me to always trust in God and to never give up on something that you've been dreaming about for a long time,” Lofton-Malachi said.

Lofton-Malachi was drafted by the Women's Professional Soccer League's Philadelphia Independence in 2010 and finished the season with the Atlanta Beat. Lofton-Malachi played for FC Throttur in Iceland in 2011 and spent the 2012 season with Aland United in Finland.

Lofton-Malachi ranks second at USF with 290 career saves and her goals against average of 1.05 ranks third in the Bulls' history books. Stay updated on Lofton-Malachi on Twitter and Instagram @GKMLM, and also follow her on Facebook HERE.
