
Smith and Maceira Bolster Men's Soccer Roster

TAMPA, AUG. 15, 2014 – The USF men's soccer team has announced the additions of Graham Smith and Eduardo Maceira to the roster for the upcoming season.
Smith hails from New Hope, Pa., and comes to the Bulls after spending two seasons at the University of Pittsburgh while Maceira becomes the third player on the team from Caracas, Venezuela.
With the two additions, USF has added nine new players to round out this season's roster.
Smith played in all 17 games for the Panthers during his freshman season while making seven starts and recording seven shots. He also led New Hope-Solebury High School to a PIAA Class A State Championship as a senior, scoring 14 goals on the year.
Maceira brings a wealth of international experience to USF, having played for Venezuela's U-13, U-15 and U-17 national teams. He played his club soccer at Deportivo La Guaira with fellow Bulls' freshman Alessandro Paciocco.
USF kicks off its season in just under a week when Saint Leo comes to Corbett Stadium for an exhibition contest on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Single game and season tickets can be purchased HERE.

The USF men's soccer team begins its season on Aug. 19 with an exhibition match against Saint Leo at Corbett Stadium. The men's soccer program has been one of the most successful teams on campus over the years, making it to seven straight NCAA tournaments and eight of the last nine. Head coach George Kiefer has also led the Bulls to two Elite Eight appearances and two conference titles in his 12 seasons as head coach.
