VILLANOVA, Pa., OCT. 3, 2015 – Versatile No. 17 USF men's soccer remained perfect in conference play with a gritty 1-0 victory over Temple on a rainy and cold Saturday afternoon.

USF (7-2-0, 2-0) got the only goal it needed from Nazeem Bartman in the 14th minute of play at a neutral site for both teams. Due to weather concerns, the game was moved from Temple's Ambler Sports Complex to Villanova's Higgins Soccer Complex.

USF and Temple (7-2-2) headed into matchup tied for second in the conference in goals allowed (0.7 per game) and both teams combined for eight shots on goal. Bartman provided the offense by beating a defender on a one-on-one opportunity and scoring his team-leading fourth goal of the season early in the first half. The junior forward from South Africa already has three game-winning goals in his first season with the Bulls.

The Bulls are now tied for the conference lead with five shutouts this season after getting four saves from Spasoje Stefanovic. The junior from Serbia made three saves in the second half of the 11th solo shutout of his USF career.

USF has won five of its past six games and improved to 3-0-1 all-time against Temple. The Bulls have shut out Temple in each of the past meetings and have outscored the Owls, 6-1, in the series.

USF finishes up its three-game road trip at Tulsa on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. The Bulls return to Corbett Stadium to host Cincinnati on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.  Purchase tickets at USFBullsTix.com.
