TAMPA, NOV. 27, 2017 – Take a look ahead at the week in USF Athletics and catch up on last week's action:
No. 23/23 Football (9-2, 6-2)
This Week: Quinton Flowers was named American Athletic Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week after shattering school records with 605 total yards and 503 passing yards at UCF. Flowers tied his career high with four touchdown passes and rushed for a game-high 102 yards and another score. Flowers also became USF's all-time leader in career offense, breaking Matt Grothe's previous record of 10,875 yards (2006-09). Flowers now has 11,385 yards in his career heading into USF's upcoming bowl game appearance.
Last Week: Flowers posted the greatest offensive performance in USF history in a 49-42 loss at undefeated UCF on Nov. 24. Take a look back at the Bulls' wild regular season finale

Need to Know: USF will await the destination of its third straight bowl appearance and ninth overall in 21 seasons of playing football… USF checked in at No. 23 in the AP Top 25 Poll and No. 23 in the Amway Coaches Poll, marking a program record 18th straight week in the top 25. Learn more

No. 17/16 Women's Basketball (6-1)
This Week: USF will travel to Washington D.C. to face George Washington on Saturday at 2 p.m. Fans can access a live stream of the game
HERE… USF remained at No. 17 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 Poll. The latest USA Today Coaches Poll has yet to be released this week.
Last Week: USF took third place in the Gulf Coast Showcase with a
68-59 victory over St. John's on Nov. 26 in Estero, Fla. … The Bulls started their tournament run with an
82-45 win over Washington State on Nov. 24 before
falling to No. 6 Notre Dame, 76-66, on Nov. 25… USF started its busy week with a
71-55 home victory over Butler on Nov. 20.
Need to Know: Kitija Laksa was named conference player of the week and earned a spot on the Gulf Coast Showcase all-tournament team by averaging 25.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.3 three-pointers in Estero, Fla. Laksa finished with 36 points and a career-high nine three-pointers against No. 6 Notre Dame… USF plays at Oklahoma on Saturday, Dec. 9 before returning to the Sun Dome to host Southern University on Friday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. Reserve your seats at

Men's Basketball (4-3)
This Week: USF will travel to North Carolina for two games this week. The Bulls face Elon on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Appalachian State on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Last Week: USF finished the Hoosier Tip-Off Classic with a 2-2 record. The Bulls bounced back from a loss at Indiana on Nov. 19 with a 75-52
home win over Howard on Nov. 22… USF stayed on the winning track with a
72-61 victory over Arkansas State on Nov. 24 before
falling to Eastern Michigan, 65-47, on Nov. 26.
Need to Know: Redshirt junior forward Malik Martin was named to The American's weekly honor roll after posting the first double-double of his career in the win over Arkansas State. Martin set new career highs with 24 points and 10 rebounds while becoming the first USF player since Chris Perry on Dec. 28, 2014 at Bowling Green to lead the team in points, rebounds, blocks and steals in a single game.

Volleyball (12-18, 7-13)
Last Week: Senior Alex Mendoza tallied her 11
th double-double of the season in a
3-0 War on I-4 home loss to UCF that concluded the Bulls' season on Nov. 25… USF started the week with a
three-set loss at UCF on Nov. 22.
Need to Know: Alex Mendoza finished her career ranking fourth on USF's assist list with 3,147.

Women's Tennis
Last Week: Head coach
Cristina Moros signed Amelie Boy, who is the No. 1 player from the island of Mauritis. Boy has been playing tennis since the age of 8, and has already participated in many professional circuit matches in both singles and doubles. She is also one of the top players in Africa. Learn more

About USF Athletics
USF Athletics sponsors 19 varsity men's and women's teams that compete in 11 different sports, 18 at the NCAA Division I level in the American Athletic Conference. The Bulls' athletic program celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015, having begun with a men's soccer contest in 1965. Nearly 500 student-athletes train and compete in the athletic district located on the east end of the campus in Tampa, Fla. The Bulls have claimed 12 American Athletic Conference team titles since joining the conference in 2013, including four in 2016-17, and own 109 conference championships overall. Ten USF programs reached national post-season competition in the 2016-17 season and nine were ranked in the Top 25 nationally. The Bulls posted a program-record 86 percent Graduation Success Rate (2016) in the last reporting, logged an annual department grade-point average over a 3.0 for the second straight year and saw 106 student-athletes earn their degree during the 2016-17 academic period.
