USF also set five all-time top-10 marks in program history
TAMPA, APRIL 22, 2017 – The USF track and field team recognized 22 seniors at the South Florida Collegiate on Saturday and many played an integral role as the Bulls won nine events and recorded 21 top-three finishes.
Senior Michael Babinec (Riverview, Fla.) won the 5k with a time of 15:25.43 as classmate Melissa Westmoreland (Jupiter, Fla.) finished first in the 3k steeplechase (11:34.74). Fellow senior Khadeeja Dooling (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.) secured first in the 100m hurdles (13.87).
USF's 4x100m relay team of Chelsea Francis (Jacksonville, Fla.), Jada Massie (Bradenton, Fla.), Krysten Golden (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), and Shenica Bazile (Naples, Fla.) posted the second-best all-time mark in program history (45.35). The quartet finished a close second in the event.
Sophomore David Bell (Jacksonville, Fla.) placed second in the pole vault with a height of 17-1, fourth-best in program history. Jonah Daniels (Jacksonville, Fla.), another USF sophomore, notched the ninth-best all-time men's long jump with a winning distance of 23-8.75. Sophomore David Tampa (St. John's, Fla.) won the 1500m event with a time of 3:54.55.
The Bulls finished 1-2-3 in the women's pole vault with sophomore Stephanie Lambeth (Frankenmuth, Mich.) finishing first (12-5.5). Sophomore Nicole Carroll (Land O'Lakes, Fla.) placed second and junior Jamie Brenner (Oviedo, Fla) finished in third.
USF also won the men's 4x400m relay. The freshman quartet of Yohance Haynes (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), Derwin Moultrie (Miami), Maurice Nock (Sanford, Fla.) and Tequon Terry (Alachua, Fla.) finished the event in 3:15.42.

· On the final day of the meet, USF notched seven event victories and placed in another 15 events.

- Freshman Curtis Thomas (Auburndale, Fla.) finished second in the 100m dash with a time of 10.62.
- The 4x100m relay team of freshman Maurice Nock (Stanford, Fla.), freshman Tequon Terry (Alachua, Fla.), senior Dae Young Yoon (Hollywood, Fla.) and freshman Curtis Thomas (Auburndale, Fla.) took second with a time of 41.00 .
- Senior Brandi Lucas (Vero Beach, Fla.) finished third in the shot put (40-9.75).
- Junior Chelsea Francis (Jacksonville, Fla.) placed third in the 200m (24.15).
- Sophomore D'Angelo Ennis (Jamaica) finished third in the triple jump (46-2.75).

About USF Track and Field
Led by 11th-year head coach Warren Bye, the USF track and field team has produced 21 All-Americans (eight men, 13 women) since 2000 and at least one All-American in nine of the last 10 years. Recent graduate Matthew O'Neal is USF's first six-time NCAA All-American. The Bulls return all-conference performer David Akins (pole vault) and Michael Babinec (steeplechase), as well as NCAA qualifier Bernicia Holifield (hammer throw). The Bulls are home to the 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary.
