Former USF Goalkeeper Makes History in Spain

Paris Saint-Germaine became the first Top 10 European team to provide payment for a player in Spain selecting Chilean goalkeeper Christiane Endler, formerly of USF.

PARIS (June 23, 2017)— Paris Saint-Germaine, a club in the highest tier of French soccer, recently became the first top 10 European team to make a transfer payment to a Spanish club for a female player.
 
PSG will pay around 30,000 Euro to Valencia for Chilean Christine Endler. The goalkeeper spent two years at USF before moving on to professional soccer, and has since captained the Chilean national team, and been named Iberdrola League Goalkeeper of the Year.
 
Endler has helped the women's Valencia team finish third in their league, and reach the semifinals of the Queen's Cup.
 
At USF, Endler ranks in the top five all-time saves with 176, and posted a .90 goals against average, the second-best in USF history. In her final year at USF, Endler was named to the All-American Athletic Conference Second Team, was AAC Goalkeeper of the Week three times, and was named to the league honor roll three times.
