Head coach Bob Butehorn on Tuesday's exhibition effort:
"It's a good start. Obviously happy with the win. It's good to see the younger players do well and cut their teeth a little bit. In that regard, it was fun to watch them grow up in front of me. As everyone says, there's a long way to go."
Coach Butehorn on playing 19 players seeing time on the field:
"We played three different line-ups to see what we have in the shed, to see what tools we can use throughout the course of the year. It was good to see some of the young guys do well. That is not how we'll do things normally, but it's preseason."
Coach Butehorn on Trey Jackson's performance:
"It's good to have a local kid. He was excited to play and be a part of something. He had his family here and I'm really excited for him."
Trey Jackson on his first collegiate outing:
"It felt great to be out on the field. At first, I was a little nervous but after a little, I got a feel for a game. It felt like any other game. It felt good to play."
