USF Set for Road Match at Howard

TAMPA (Sept. 6, 2017) — The University of South Florida women's soccer team will head to Washington, D.C., for a match against Howard on Friday night. The Bulls return this week after a pair of cancelled matches due to Hurricane Irma.
Freshman forward
Sarah Harrison (Riverview, Fla.) scored her first-career goal in USF's most recent match, a tough 6-2 loss to Ohio State. Sophomore
Aubrey Megrath (West Palm Beach, Fla.) also scored against Ohio State, marking her first goal of the season.
Goalkeepers
Kat Elliott (Bradenton, Fla.) and
Ricquelle Farquharson (Davie, Fla.) each have minutes in goal this season. Elliott has over 398 minutes with 22 saves. Freshman Farquharson has had just enough time to get her feet wet, with 67 minutes and two saves.
Seven Bulls have scored this season, led by the American Preseason Player of the Year
Evelyne Viens who has netted four of the team's 12 total goals.
The Opponent
This will be the first meeting of the Bulls and the Bison. Howard's win this season was a 1-0 shutout over George Mason University at home. Senior Whitney White was recently named Southwestern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the week after scoring one goal with just one shot in Howard's loss to Robert Morris, 3-2.

The USF women's soccer team has posted five consecutive seasons of 10-plus wins and six in the last seven years under head coach Denise Schilte-Brown. Schilte-Brown reached her 100th win with USF last season, and will begin her eleventh season as head coach in 2017. The Bulls made their first NCAA tournament appearance in 2010 and returned in 2014 & 2015.
