Horne Named Sporting News Midseason All-American
Injured freshman Bull earns inclusion on national list of top players
TAMPA, OCT. 15, 2018 – USF freshman
Terrence Horne Jr. (Miramar) has been named a Sporting News midseason All-American as a return specialist.
The electrifying Bull tied an NCAA record with a two kickoff returns for touchdowns in USF's victory over Georgia Tech on Sept. 8 and had three touchdowns and a USF record 264 kickoff return yards in the game. Horne's back-to-back returns of 98 and 97 yards rank as the third and fourth longest in USF history.
Despite being sidelined for the remainder of the 2018 season after tearing the ACL in his right knee in practice prior to the Bulls' Sept. 22 game vs. ECU, Horne is one of two players in FBS football with two kickoff returns for touchdowns on the year and leads the nation with a 47.0 kickoff return average. His 264 kickoff return yards vs. Georgia Tech are the most by an FBS player on the season.

Horne is one of four players from the American Athletic Conference named to Sporting News' midseason All-America list. He joins Memphis' Darrell Henderson (ATH), Houston's Ed Oliver (DT) and UCF's Richie Grant (DB). The American's four selections are tied with the ACC and second among all conferences to the SEC's 11.
USF returns to Raymond James Stadium, where it has won 19 of its last 22 games, on Saturday for a 7 p.m. homecoming clash with UConn (1-5; 0-3 American). The Bulls have won six straight games against the Huskies and will be looking to equal the program's best-ever start by improving to 7-0 for the second straight season.
The Bulls are 34-6 in their last 40 games, a mark that is tied with Oklahoma for the fourth-best mark nationally over each team's last 40 contests and trails only Alabama (38-2), Clemson (36-4) and Ohio State (35-5).
Saturday's game will be televised by CBS Sports Network and can be heard live on the USF Sports Network (820 AM; iHeart Radio Bulls Unlimited).
