TAMPA, Fla., Oct 22, 2018 --USF men's soccer heads to Miami to play a second-straight in-state opponent Florida International University for its final non-conference matchup of the season on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at FIU Soccer Stadium.

Bulls Look to Bounce Back Against Panthers
The Bulls (5-6-1, 2-1-2 AAC) will look to bounce back after a hotly contested rivalry matchup against then-No. 19 UCF, where the Bulls battled the Knights to a 2-1 setback. USF's Josue Monge (Philadelphia) scored the equalizing goal in the 20thminute against the Bulls fourth ranked opponent this season, but the Bulls did not find the back of the net again and fell to the Knights. USF's defensive line consisting of Henrique Gallina (Atibaia, Brazil), Marcus Murphy (Orange Park, Fla.), Emilio Ycaza (St. Petersburg, Fla.) and Jonathan Rosales (Kissimmee, Fla.) played 90 minutes apiece, defending UCF's 18 shots and countless additional attacks on the night, bolstering the Bulls in the one-goal loss.

The Opponent
FIU comes into the midweek game with a 6-7 record including a 5-1 Conference USA clip. Both the Panthers and the Bulls started the season off 0-3, and emerged well in midseason form and USF and FIU are tied in the all-time series at 13-13-2. The Panthers have scored 16 goals over the last six matches, with eight coming from Santiago Patino, a senior forward from Orlando, Fla.

Most recently, FIU defeated Florida Atlantic 3-2 in double overtime, an opponent USF defeated 4-1 earlier this season.
