TAMPA, Fla., Oct 26, 2018 –USF men's soccer will travel to Ohio to take on American Athletic Conference foe Cincinnati in its final regular season road match of the 2018 campaign on Saturday night at 7 p.m.

Bulls Ready to Battle Bearcats
The Bulls (5-7-2, 2-1-2 AAC) go into the match following their 3-2 heartbreaking double overtime defeat against non-conference opponent FIU (7-7) on October 23. The Bulls, who led the AAC conference standings just one week ago, will take control of their remaining two conference games and vie for a spot in the American Athletic Conference Tournament, beginning with tomorrow's matchup against the Bearcats. Before dropping the last two matches, the Bulls had been undefeated in seven of the previous eight matches and were undefeated dating back to Sept. 15.

Bright spots for the Bulls in the last match were night Gordon Phipps (Weston, Fla.) and Diego Guerrero (San Salvador, El Salvador), as the pair each scored their first career goals over FIU.

With two conference games remaining, the Bulls are very much alive for a postseason berth. USF currently sits in fourth place in the conference, and just two points outside of third place. The top six teams in the conference qualify for postseason play.

Quotable by Bob Butehorn
"The guys have played and trained well recently," head coach Bob Butehorn said. "They just need to reward themselves with a result this weekend."

The Opponent
Cincinnati comes into the match off the heels of a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Bowling Green. The Bearcats are currently 3-12-1, 1-4-0 AAC, on the season.

The Bearcats are led by junior forward Rex Epps with three goals in nine games played, while two other Bearcats have scored two goals apiece. The Bearcats have scored 11 goals on the season yet hasn't tasted victory since September 29 when the Bearcats defeated Temple 1-0. While three Bearcats have played in goal, Noah Lawrence is the likely starting goalkeeper for Cincinnati, playing for over 1,000 minutes and holding a 1-8-1 record.
