No. 25 Bulls Host Cincinnati and ECU for First Conference Matches at Corbett

TAMPA, Oct. 3, 2018 – USF women's soccer welcomes conference opponents Cincinnati and ECU to Corbett Stadium this week. The first 300 fans in attendance will receive a free USF soccer scarf.
No. 25 USF looks to stay undefeated at home when it takes on Cincinnati at 7 p.m. on Thursday and ECU at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The Bulls have had just three losses on their home pitch since 2015, and haven't lost a conference match at Corbett since September 2016 against SMU. USF versus Cincinnati will be broadcasted live on the
American Digital Network. Sunday's match against ECU will air live on the
YouTube.
USF went 1-1 in its opening weekend of conference play. The Bulls had a dominant, 4-0, win over UConn but fell in double overtime to Temple, 1-0.
Despite a break in its five-game win streak, USF remains the top-scoring offense in the nation with 3.38 goals per game, and the leader in points per game with 9.38.
Redshirt junior
Kelli Burney (Bealeton, Va.) was named The American Defensive Player of the Week after outstanding performances to open conference play. Burney led the Bulls back line to a shutout victory at UConn in USF's conference opener. She was also a focal point of the defensive effort at Temple that did not allow a shot for 73 minutes of play. Burney also helped limit UConn to just five shots in the match.
Cincinnati (6-5-2, 1-2-1) // Thursday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.
USF looks to avenge a tough loss last year against the Bearcats. Cincinnati was the only team to defeat the Bulls in conference play last season when it scored in the final minute to win, 1-0. Cincinnati leads the series against USF, 11-10-4. The Bearcats sole conference win this season was a 2-1 victory over Tulsa on the road.
This season, Cincinnati has been outscored by opponents, 21-14. The Bearcats leading goal-scorer is Jill Vetere with four goals, three assists. Cincinnati's goalkeeping responsibilities have been split between Madison Less with 557 minutes in goal and a 3-4-0 record, and Claudia Eustaquio with 580 minutes in goal and a 2-1-2 record.
ECU (6-4-2, 1-3-0) // Sunday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m.
ECU travels to Tampa with a 1-3-0 record in The American. The Pirates defeated SMU, 2-1, last weekend at home. USF has never dropped a match to ECU at Corbett Stadium, and leads the all-time series, 12-2-1. This season, the Pirates have outscored opponents, 24-15.
Twelve different Pirates have scored for ECU this season led by Jenna Dages and Courtney Cash who each have five goals. Midfielder Daria Draovitch has been crucial in scoring plays with four assists. Redshirt sophomore Melanie Stiles is the Pirates primary goalkeeper with 1,118 minutes in goal. She has a .754 save percentage with a 6-4-2 record and three solo shutouts.

- Evelyne Viens is ranked in the top five nationally in four categories, and in the top 10 in two. She's leads the nation in in points per game (3.25) and goals per game (1.38). She's ranked No. 3 in total goals (11) and total points (26). She checks in at No. 8 in shots per game (5.13) and No. 9 in shots on goal per game (2.63).
