NCAA Selection Show Set for Monday

TAMPA, Nov. 4 2018 – USF women's soccer awaits its seeding in the NCAA tournament that will be announced in the live selection show on NCAA.com at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
 
This season the Bulls won their first American Athletic Conference regular season title, and earned a home field advantage as the top seed for the tournament. USF booked its second straight appearance in The American title match after defeating fourth-seeded ECU, 2-0, in the semifinals. The Bulls faltered in the championship match when they took on No. 19 Memphis, falling 3-0.
 
USF looks to continue its postseason journey on the national stage. Thirty-one automatic bids will be handed out to conference champions while the remaining 33 schools will get at-large bids. The top 16 teams will be seeded in the 64-team bracket. The Bulls were ranked 17th in the national RPI going into The American tournament.
 
USF will host a watch party in the Hall of Fame Room at the Lee Roy Selmon Athletic Center at 4 p.m. The selection show will begin at 4:30 p.m.
 
The 2018 DI women's soccer tournament kicks off the weekend of Nov. 9-11. Second and third rounds continue the following weekend from Nov. 16-18. The four national semifinalists will be determined in the quarterfinals on Nov. 23-24.
 
The Women's College Cup will then be hosted by WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina on Nov. 30 (semifinals) and Dec. 2 (championship game).
 
Notable
  • The Bulls are waiting for selection in what will be their fifth NCAA appearance, all under the leadership of head coach Denise Schilte-Brown
  • A trip to the NCAA tournament would be USF's fourth in the last five seasons
  • USF shut out FGCU, 3-0, in the first round at Corbett Stadium last season and fell, 1-0, to Florida in the second round
