Bulls Host FGCU and Brown

TAMPA (March 23, 2018) -- The USF women's tennis team will play a pair of matches this weekend against FGCU on Saturday at 1PM and Brown on Sunday at noon at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.

The Bulls (9-7,4-1) extended its win streak to seven with a win against UNF, 4-2, last weekend in Jacksonville, Fla.

Senior Juliana Cardoso (Descalvado, Brazil) clinched the win against the Osprey on court five in three sets, 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-2.
 
Freshman Evelyne Tiron (Bucharest, Romania), on court two, and junior Nicole Dzenga (Harare, Zimbabwe), on court four, both won their matches in straight sets to start out singles against UNF.
 
At No. 1 doubles, juniors Vanja Klaric (Gaborone, Botswona) and Dzenga beat their opponent, 6-3. This win on court one extended their win streak as a doubles pair to five.
 
Dzenga also posts the best record, 10-3, and longest win-streak for the Bulls with eight in a row.
 
Scouting the Opponent: 
FGCU
The Eagles (4-6) are coming off a loss against Notre Dame, 1-6. FGCU won the doubles point, but dropped the match by losing on all six singles courts.
 
Maja Ornberg has the best record for the Eagles (7-3) at the No.1 and 2 spots.
 
In last year's match, the Bulls beat the Eagles, 5-2 in FGCU's season opener in Fort Myers, Fla.  

Brown University
The Bulls welcome the Bears (6-7) after their most recent win against Stony Brook, 6-1. Brown clinched the doubles point, and only lost on court one during singles in their win against the Seawolves.
 
This will be the first time in program history that USF will face Brown. 

Cristina Moros will be in her third year at the helm of after leading the program to an American Athletic Conference Championship in 2017.
