TAMPA (April 27, 2018) – USF defeated UCF Friday night, 4-1, with a grand slam by
Mia Fung (Tampa) and 12 strikeouts from freshman
Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.).
The Bulls (33-18, 11-5) were on fire in Friday night's War on I-4, led by Corrick who retired 18 straight batters in her 12-strikeout night. The freshman held the Knights (30-20, 8-8) to just three hits in her eighth complete game to earn the win in her War on I-4 debut.
A trio of singles loaded the bases in the bottom of the second inning with no outs for USF. Fung hit an incredible home run over left field to score

Amber Atkinson (Citrus, Fla.) and
Brooke Hartman (Port Orange, Fla.) in her first career grand slam.
UCF tried to rally in the bottom of the seventh, loading the bases. Corrick struck out two in the inning to close the game with a strike out swinging.
