USF Soccer Set for Summer Camps

TAMPA (May 23, 2018)The USF men's and women's soccer programs will host a series of camps throughout the summer at the Tampa and St. Petersburg locations.
 
USF coaches and former USF players will be available to interact with campers and make the camps competitive and fun for all ages.
 
Camp Options:
 
Futsal Camp: Boys and girls from ages 7-16 can practice FIFA's official indoor game, Futsal. The camp offers technical training, ball mastery and high-speed play. Campers have the option of May 30-June 1 ($295), and June 11-14 ($395) from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Goalkeeper training is an additional $50.

Full Day Camp: Boys and girls ages 7-12 have the opportunity to work daily to improve technical abilities. This five-day camp is suitable for everyone from beginners to elite players and is perfect for teams as well. The experience includes expert coaching, technical training, and camp leagues and tournaments. The camp runs from June 4-8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday. The cost is $295 and an extra $50 for goalkeeper training.

Young Stars Camp: The USF Young Stars Camp is a half-day program designed to teach soccer fundamentals in a fun, safe environment for boys and girls ages 4-7. Young stars will experience elite coaching, scrimmages and competitions and individual attention. Campers have three date ranges to choose from including: June 4-8, July 9-14 and July 23-27. The camp will run from 9 am. to 12 p.m. and cost $195.

St. Pete 60: The St. Pete 60 is a full day camp located at USF St. Petersburg and is available for boys and girls ages 7-12. The camp is capped at 60 players and will include opportunities to improve technical abilities with expert coaching and technical training. This five-day camp is suitable for everyone from beginners to elite players and is perfect for teams as well. Campers will have the opportunity to be coached tactically in game situations and will have camp leagues and tournaments leading to a camp championship on Friday. The camp runs from June 11 to 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday. The cost is $245 and an additional $50 for goalkeeper training.

Full Day Camp and Futsal Combo: This brand-new camp includes spending half of the day out on the fields, before heading inside for futsal training and games in the afternoon. Players will have a chance to hone their skills on the futsal court and improve their soccer IQ on the pitch. The camp will feature individual ball mastery from expert coaches. Camp dates include July 9-13 and July 23-27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday. The cost is $395, and an additional $50 for goalkeeper training.

USF Residential Camp: The USF Residential Camp is the ultimate soccer camp experience. It is designed to improve players on and off the field. Campers will receive expert coaching, both in training and games, while taking advantage of the state-of-the-art USF campus facilities. After an intense day of training, players will get the opportunity to compete under the lights in our competitive camp leagues. The camp is available for boys and girls ages 9-18 and will take place June 17-20. The cost is $695 ($595 for commuters), and an additional $50 for goalkeeper training.

The USF women's soccer team has posted six consecutive seasons of 10-plus wins and eight in the last nine years under head coach 
Denise Schilte-Brown. The Bulls made their first NCAA tournament appearance in 2010 and returned in 2014, 2015 and 2017.

The Bulls concluded the 2017 regular season with a 6-6-4 overall record and finished fifth in the American Athletic Conference with a 3-2-2 mark.
