TAMPA, MAY 26, 2018D'angelo Ennis capped off host USF's run at the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field East Preliminary with an 18th-place finish in the triple jump on Saturday evening.

Ennis finished in the top half of the 48-person field with a top jump of 50-8.75 at USF Track and Field Stadium. The top 12 qualifiers from each event at the NCAA East and West (Sacramento, Calif.) Preliminaries advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which will be held June 6-9 in Eugene, Ore.

Despite falling short of his NCAA Outdoor Championship goal, Ennis can proudly look back on his junior outdoor season in green and gold. The Kingston, Jamaica native captured the triple jump title at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships with a mark of 52-7.25, which ranks second in school history.

Ennis was the sixth and final USF competitor at the three-day prelim event that featured more than 1,700 student-athletes from over 170 programs at the home of the Bulls.

Juniors Joe Fogarasi and David Bell took part in the pole vault Thursday while junior Jada Massie (100 meters) and freshman Imani Carmouche (high jump) represented the Bulls later in the day. Junior Chelsea Francis competed in the women's 200 meters on Friday afternoon.
