TAMPA, June 7, 2018 – USF men's soccer coach Bob Butehorn announced a 17-game schedule for the 2018 fall season on Thursday, including four games against teams that finished the 2017 season ranked.

The season opens with an exhibition match against Eastern Florida at Corbett Stadium on Tuesday, Aug. 14, before the Bulls take on the University of Tampa in an exhibition match at the home of the Spartans. 
 
The Bulls open the regular season with a two-game road trip to Michigan to face two ranked opponents. The regular season begins on Friday, Aug. 24 at Michigan State. The Spartans finished 2017 with a 13-3-4 record and were ranked No. 6 by the United Soccer Coaches. The Bulls will then travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines in game two of the season. Michigan was ranked No. 22 to end the season and went 12-6-2.
 
USF will start their seven-game home slate at Corbett Stadium on Friday, Aug. 31 against Virginia Tech. The Hokies were receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll and ranked No. 25 in the RPI at the end of the 2017 season. They went 10-10 last season. 
 
The American Athletic Conference schedule for the Bulls begins on Saturday, Sept. 22 at UConn. The Huskies finished third in The American in 2017 with a 4-3 record in conference and an 8-8-2 record overall.
 
Other notable matches on the 2018 schedule include games at Ohio State (Sept. 7), FGCU (Sept. 15), No. 8 SMU (Oct. 6), and No. 20 FIU (Oct. 24). The Bulls will renew the War on I-4 with UCF on Saturday, Oct. 20 in Orlando. USF won the 2017 game, 3-2, in a double overtime thriller in Tampa. The regular season concludes on Saturday, Nov. 3 with a conference matchup at Corbett Stadium against Memphis.
 
The Bulls finished the 2017 season with a 6-6-4 record in head coach Bob Butehorn's first season at the helm. The team went 3-3-2 in conference play, finishing fifth in The American. USF will return 19 players from that squad in 2018, including leading goal scorer Adrian Billhardt (Berlin, Germany). Billhardt scored five goals in 2017, tallied 16 points, and was named conference freshman of the year.

Season tickets will be available beginning Monday, June 18, and will be $35 for the general public and $28 for USF Alumni, Faculty and Staff. New this season, All USF soccer season ticket members will receive this season's soccer scarf as a part of their season ticket package. Limit one scarf per account.
