ESPN Set to Broadcast USA Softball International Cup

OKLAHOMA CITY (July 5, 2018) – ESPN will broadcast the inaugural USA Softball International Cup hosted by USA Softball July 9-15 at Bill Barber Park in Irvine, Calif.

ESPN will produce and distribute four USA Softball games as well as the championship game with all ESPN telecasts also available for live streaming via the ESPN app.Ā Ā The 2018 telecast includes over 10 hours of live coverage on ESPN and ESPN2, which is highlighted by multiple prime time windows.Ā Ā All non-televised games will be available to view via a free live stream at USASoftballInternationalCup.com.

Teams participating in the USA Softball International Cup include: No. 1 USA, No. 2 Japan, No. 3 Canada, No. 5 Chinese Taipei, No. 6 Puerto Rico, No. 7 Mexico, No. 10 Czech Republic, No. 12 China, No. 17 Venezuela, No. 19 Peru, No. 31 Colombia and Scrap Yard Fast Pitch.Ā Ā Both USA Softball Women's National Team rosters, which includes the WBSC World Championship and Japan All-Star Series rosters, are slated to compete in this event.

USA Softball also announced a full promotional lineup for the tournament. This year's calendar will feature the return of League Night (July 11), Faith Night (July 12), Military Appreciation Night (July 13) and Olympic Day (July 15) while introducing new promotions like Travel Ball Day (July 10) and Fight Pediatric Cancer Day (July 14) for fans to participate in.
