USF’s Wojcik Earns Pro World Ranking and First ATP World Point

TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 1, 2018) – USF's Jakub Wojcik defeated world-ranked No. 621 Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine (France) in the ITF Futures main draw in Brussels, Belgium on Monday.
 
Wojcik is on a four-match winning spree in Belgium, including three wins over world-ranked opponents. He positioned himself for success with three qualifying wins over opponents from Spain, France and Germany before going to three sets in the round of 32 of the main draw against Kouzmine.
 
Wojcik took the momentum early with a 6-1 win, but fell 6-4 in the second set to extend the match. The third set, a 6-4 win, delivered Wojcik's first career ITF Futures main draw victory, and the highest-ranked win of his career.
 
Sean Burnette has also been heating up on the professional circuit and is tied for second in the ITA Oracle Summer Circuit powered by UTR, which is a collection of events held weekly for six weeks across the country.
