Sam Barrington To Join USF Football Radio Broadcasts
TAMPA, AUG. 10, 2018 – Former USF and NFL linebacker Sam Barrington will join USF Radio Network broadcasts of the 2018 USF football season presented by Valley National Bank as he assumes analyst duties alongside Voice of the Bulls
Jim Louk.
Barrington, who recently completed a five-year NFL career after being selected in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, will also join Louk on weekly broadcasts of the USF Football Radio Show. Louk returns for his 22
nd season as the Voice of the Bulls on football broadcasts and has called all of the Bulls' 251 games in program history.

Joey Johnston, a senior writer for the Tampa Tribune and Tampa Bay Times sports sections for 36 years, will return as sideline reporter following his debut season in 2017. Rock Riley, the face of Spectrum Sports for 18 years and currently the host of his own sports talk show (3-6 p.m. weekdays) on 1040 AM, will once again join the longtime voice of USF men's basketball Jim Lighthall and
Darek Sharp, the voice of USF women's basketball and director of programing for Bulls Unlimited on iHeart Radio, on the pre- and post-game shows. Marc Miller returns to produce games and radio show broadcasts.
Barrington was a 2012 Big East all-conference selection at linebacker before going on to play five seasons in the NFL with the Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints and Buffalo Bills. The Jacksonville, Fla., native ranks 10
th on the USF career tackles chart with 258 stops. He lettered in four seasons from 2009-12 for the Bulls and was part of teams that posted victories in the Meineke Car Care Bowl over Clemson and the International Bowl over Northern Illinois.
Genesis Communications will again be the home for USF Athletics radio broadcasts through 2018-19. USF football game broadcasts originate two hours before kickoff with the pre-game show. Game broadcasts and weekly radio shows can be heard in the Bay Area on flagship station WWBA 820 AM, 98.3 FM in Pinellas County and 96.7 FM in Hillsborough County as well as on WKII 1070 AM in Ft. Myers/Port Charlotte. All games and radio shows are also streamed live on iHeart Radio on the Bulls Unlimited channel.
USF begins the 2018 season on Sat., Sept. 1 with a 6 p.m. kickoff vs. Elon in Raymond James Stadium.
