Moros Announces Fall Tennis Schedule
TAMPA, AUG. 23, 2018 – Head coach
Cristina Moros announced an exciting fall schedule for USF on Thursday.
USF will begin its fall slate with a trip to Nassau, Bahamas, for the Albany Collegiate Invite, Sept. 14-16. The following weekend, the team will head to the Rice Invite to close out the month, Sept. 21-23.
After two years of playing host of the annual Bedford Cup, the Bulls will visit Miami for the tournament, Oct. 12-14. The ITA Southeast Regionals will take place in Atlanta from Oct. 18-22, and USF will split its squad between the Roberta Allison Fall Classic (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and the FGCU Invite (Fort Myers, Fla.) during the weekend of Oct. 26-28.
USF will finish its fall campaign close to home with the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Event in Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 2-4.
Coach Moros begins her third season at the helm of the Bulls. In 2018, the team went 12-10 with an impressive 10-3 record at home on the USF Varsity Tennis Courts. Moros returns three seniors to the squad with
Nicole Dzenga (Harare, Zimbabwe),
Vanja Klaric (Gabarone, Bostwana) and
Ana Roman Dominguez (Burgos, Spain).
USF also retains one junior,
Janvhi Clark (Tauranga, New Zealand), and three sophomores in
Evelyne Tiron (Bucharest, Romania),
Alexandria Mjos (Austin, Texas) and
Marcela Ifju (Gainesville, Fla). The Bulls welcome three newcomers
Amelie Boy (Trianon, Mauritis),
Laura Pellicer Perello (Gandia, Valencia, Spain) and
Selin Yaylali (Gainesville, Fla.).
