Fernandez, WBCA to Host Annual Coaches Clinic
TAMPA, Florida, Aug. 30, 2018 – The 2018 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Coach of the Year and USF head coach
Jose Fernandez will team up with the Women's Basketball Coaching Association to host his annual Coaches Clinic on Oct. 20 at the USF Pam & Les Muma Basketball Center.
The clinic costs only $25 and must be paid with either cash or check (all checks must be payable to
Jose Fernandez Basketball Camp). This payment includes an invitation to watch an open USF women's basketball practice and lunch. Additional speakers for the clinic will be announced at a later date. Attendees may register by filling out a
registration form, or through
WBCA.org.
Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m. and the clinic begins at 9 a.m. on Oct. 20. For any additional information about the Coaches Clinic, please contact

Clinic attendees will learn from not only veteran head coach Fernandez but also his staff of unparalleled assistants including associate head coach
Michele Woods-Baxter, assistant coach
Jesyka Burks-Wiley and new addition assistant coach
Danny Hughes.
The USF women's basketball team will open their 2018-2019 campaign on Nov. 6 with a trip to Columbus, Ohio to take on Big Ten foe Ohio State, and then travel back to the sunshine state for their first home game of the season to take on Albany on Nov. 9 at the Yuengling Center.

USF notched its sixth consecutive 20-win season and fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2017-18. It marked the ninth 20-win season in program history, with head coach Jose Fernandez at the helm for all nine. The Bulls posted 26 wins in 2017-18, just shy of the program record of 27 set in 2008-09 and 2014-15.
USF has made 14 postseason tournament appearances and had six NCAA Tournament berths in head coach Jose Fernandez's 18 seasons. The all-time winningestcoach in program history, Fernandez has guided USF to nine 20-win seasons, two WNITfinal four appearances, the 2009 WNITchampionship and won more than 300 games.
