Several Cooling Activations Await Fans For Saturday's Noon Clash With Georgia Tech

Free bottles of water and misting fans for USF students
Complimentary cups of ice available throughout the stadium

TAMPA, SEPT. 6, 2018 – The USF football team (1-0) is set for a nationally-televised clash with ACC foe Georgia Tech (1-0) Saturday in Raymond James Stadium, and USF Athletics is implementing several cooling activations to help students and fans attending the noon kickoff stay cool.

Saturday's game will be broadcast to a national television audience on ABC (ESPN2 in some regions) as the Bulls will put their 22-4 record since 2016 to the test against one of the top rushing teams in the nation. The Bulls posted a 34-14 victory over Elon in the 2018 season opener last Saturday in Raymond James Stadium, improving to 17-3 at home in their last 20 games, and have posted a 29-6 record over the last 35 games, a mark that ranks sixth in the nation over that span.

For the Georgia Tech clash, USF will distribute for free 5,000 12-ounce bottles of water to USF students. The bottles of water will be distributed near the tiki huts in north stadium plaza above seating areas 145 and 150 of The Herd student section. Bottle will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and a current USF student ID must be displayed to receive a bottle.

Students will also be able to cool down under oscillating misting fans positioned in the north end zone plaza above The Herd student section.

Students who use their mobile tickets for the Georgia Tech game will also be automatically entered to win a pair of tickets to Nick Cannon presents Wild 'N Out Live on Sept. 16 in Amalie Arena.

All fans can enjoy a complimentary cup of ice from any Raymond James Stadium concession stand and the 23 public water fountains located in the 100 and 200 levels of the stadium.

Junior quarterback Blake Barnett will look to lead USF to its fourth straight win over a Power Five conference opponent. Barnett earned American Athletic Conference Honor Roll recognition after passing for 305 yards and three touchdowns and running for another touchdown in his USF debut.  The game can be heard live on the USF Radio Network (820 AM locally, iHeart Radio Bulls Unlimited Channel).

Season and single-game tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-Go-Bulls, visiting www.USFBullsTix.com or in-person at the USF Ticket Office (Lee Roy Selmon Athletic Center) Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
